About Tie Global


The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), was founded in 1992 in Silicon Valley by a group of successful entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and senior professionals with roots in the Indus region.

TiE Global is a nonprofit venture devoted to entrepreneurs in all industries, at all stages, from incubation, throughout the entrepreneurial lifecycle. With a global reach and a local focus, the heart of TiE efforts lies in its five foundational programs, – Mentoring, Networking, Education, Funding, and Incubation. Several members have formed startups while at TiE, and are now charter members giving back to the community. TiE’s ultimate goal is to foster entrepreneurship, creating wealth for both the entrepreneur and the local communities.

TiE was founded in 1992 in Silicon Valley by a group of successful entrepreneurs, corporate executives, & senior professionals. There are currently more than 12,000 members and over 1,800 charter members in 61 chapters in 12 countries.Over the last 25 years of existence TiE Chapters around the world has become a vibrant platform for entrepreneurs, professionals, industry leaders, investors to interact with one another & forge long lasting relationships.

Since 1992. TiE has been supporting entrepreneurs by offering education, mentorship, networking and funding opportunities. The mission of TiE is to foster entrepreneurship globally through the 5 pillars of TiE : mentoring, networking and education, funding and incubation. Dedicated to the virtuous cycle of wealth creation and giving back to the community. TiE’s focus area is to generate enable the next generation of entrepreneurs.

TiE Global is the largest non-profit organization and has amazing networking effect. TiE connects the entire entrepreneurship ecosystem from early stage entrepreneurs, serial entrepreneurs, professionals at leading corporations, venture capital, angel investors, thought leaders among others. The organization emphasizes the spirit of giving in all aspects of their work.

There are currently 11,000 members, including over 2,500 charter members in 60 chapters across 17 countries. TiE’s mission is to foster entrepreneurship globally through mentoring, networking, and education. Dedicated to the virtuous cycle of wealth creation and giving back to the community, TiE’s focus is on generating and nurturing our next generation of entrepreneurs.

The foremost and most widely known event that TiE hosts is TiEcon, which is the largest professional and networking conference for entrepreneurs. TiE also hosts a wide range of programs events catering to various industry verticals, educational events hosted by TiE Institute, TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) program to foster entrepreneurship in our youth, and TiE Women’s Forum for empowering women entrepreneurs.

Besides its flagship event, TiECon – the largest professional conference for entrepreneurs, TiE now has a wide range of programs including Special Interest Groups (SIGs), TiE Institute, Deal Flow Meetings, TiE Young Entrepreneurs, and, most recently, TiE Women’s Forum and CEO Forum.

TiE is known for mentoring education and networking to help entrepreneurs and those starting new business. Every day, someone is mentored with the TiE ecosystem and guided towards the right path to achieve great heights. Besides creating wealth the organisation also work to alleviate poverty and unemployment by fostering entrepreneurship worldwide.

TiE signature programs includes the TiE Young Entrepreneurship (TYE), which fosters entrepreneurship and education in high school level students, the TiE International Start up Competition (TISC) which aims to nurture college level students and young start-ups TiE Women’s Forum which empowers women entrepreneurs throughout our network and numerous large scale conferences such as TiECon and TiE Global Summit.

Several start-ups have received funding and investment from TiE Angel groups in the Network or from Angel Investors. TiE’s success stems from the cycle where chapter member assist younger entrepreneurs with mentoring Investments, networking etc and foster success of younger start-ups in the community.

TiE Chapters often assist start-ups by offering those incubators space or subsidized services by Sponsor and partners.


About Coimbatore Tie


TiE-Coimbatore is one of the youngest and the 56th chapter in TiE network. It is also the second TiE chapter in Tamilnadu next to TiE Chennai. Our chapter has 54 Charter Members and 154 Associate Members.

In addition to it, we have 16 Governing Council Members and 9 Board Members. And also, 8 educational institutions hold TiE membership so that many students in Coimbatore are the members in TiE Coimbatore.
